Also, have been listening to Bright Shiny Morning, which is the third novel from the infamous James Frey.  I love stories that deal with the underbelly of life, people outside of the mainstream.  The book is a series of stories about various people in the LA area, interspersed with little historical "footnotes" about Los Angeles, switching from story to story, from a homeless drunk on Venice Beach who meets a young meth addict to a fabulously famous and rich power couple whose marriage is incredibly happy and totally platonic.  The narrator, Ben Foster, makes the story go - so very well-suited for screaming "FUCK FUCK FUCK" or calmly explaining the development of each of southern California's main aqueducts.

Tomorrow, I will attempt to sleep in, then clean house or go to the movies.  Then off to drink alcohol be eaten alive by bugs watch fireworks in Upper Arlington.  Can't think of a better way to celebrate civil disobedience than trying to escape the po-po by drinking wine from paper cups.  :-)

So in news of real life joy, my six year old cousin gave me art, which is always joyful. Of course, the cousins are ALWAYS hugging all over me, so it wasn't special to the day. heh. But! When we left dinner, I ended up being all Fraser-y and holding the door open for like, 40 people. XD It only takes a second to be curtious.. heh.

ALSO! Oh man, at the kissing meme? SO AWESOME. So far there's two Fraser/Vecchio drabbles, which is awwwwesome and they both are adorable and hot and yay. ALSO, holy crap, LOOK AT THE HOT AND ADORABLE SHAWN/LASSITER FOR ME!!

oh yeah, and I wrote Frannie/Kowalski. Whatever. ;P

The boston area (aka where I live) has been having atleast 1 thunderstorm a day for what seems like the LAST FUCKING MONTH D:

- Our internet is being shitty and unreliable again
- After months of clinging on for dear life, my computer screen has died so I have no computer of my own
- I'm back at my course and this week we're doing late hours
- Yesterday I accidentally sliced the top of my finger off and it HURTS TO TYPE (and when I do it's about a hundred times slower.)

So my LJ time will be somewhat limited for at least the next few days. Internet and my brother's computer permitting, I'll try and get online sporadically to FLAIL about the upcoming finale and stuff.

I've been kind of MIA on Livejournal lately. The reason is very simple - I'm not used to having so many people watching my journal, and I honestly feel naked. I've sat here multiple times over the last few weeks racking my brain, trying to figure out if what I'm thinking about is worth reading.

I finally decided to just say "screw it" and hope you think so.

Movies: I saw Wall-E this weekend. Gave me a perma-smile and I think my heart exploded during that fire extinguisher dance, for those of you who saw it. Aw. &hearts

Books: I'm currently about 1/10th of the way through Order of the Phoenix in my giant HP reread. CAPSLOCK!HARRY is turned up to an 11 with the ANGST, of course. Love it.

I'm also about 150 pages into War and Peace. I plan on finishing that sometime before I hit menopause.

Mental images I've been using to go to my happy place while getting a series of EIGHT fillings at the dentist every Thursday afternoon: ONE and TWO.

Life: Work is fine, but boring. I've been partying/drinking/smoking 7 million cigarettes every weekend for 2 months, and there's no end in site. Feels like old times.

My sister's asshole cats almost killed MY cat earlier this week. That was majorly FTL.

OH and before I forget, I've been working on those icons you guys signed up for. Just...slowly. I'm in some kind of phase where it takes me 4 hours to pick out one goddamn screencap for some reason, and it's really throwing a wrench into my icon making.

Which of these is better?

So I basically spent all of today going between spray painting, and watching Gundam 00.

Spray painting, as you would guess, would make you kind of wonky enough (I wasn't wearing a mask or anything like I probably should have), but Gundam 00 is just pure CRACK. Not to mention I basically marathoned it.

wow, I forgot I'm three hours later than I usually am.. I kept getting confused at how people were still posting about Canada day when it's almost 12 here. Heh.

In other news, watched a Police Academy movie last night and Steve Guttenburg used to be ADORABLE. Oh, creepy Neptune mayor. AND we watched Dan in Real Life tonight, and I am constantly blown away at how hot Steve is in it. Cause he is. I love that movie a lot a lot. Heart.

Also, Canada rules. And I can't believe I forgot to finish eating my maple cookies before I left for here. No one better find them and eat them, cause.. no. MINE.

Lastly, I had so many weirdass dreams involving _emomuffin, brooklinegirl, mrsronweasley and soupytwist. I don't.. even know.

I can't say I've ever genuinely celebrated Canada Day / Fête du Canada, it's more the case that I've always appreciated the extra civil holiday and consequently, another long weekend during the regular calender year. The family used to go down to Niagara Falls for a simple BBQ/picnic, but we haven't done that since my brother and I were still in high school.

I've been nursing a nasty cold all weekend so I haven't really stepped out of the house in a few days.

The point? There isn't one. ( ONWARD WIFF TEH MACROZ. )

I <3 spraypaint waaaaaay too much.

Especially since it's technically illegal for me to buy :P

The first coat of gold is now on the Sakura sphere now. I'll go out and do a second coat in a bit, but the sphere is incredibly sturdy now. I don't think the gesso did much at all, though.

I really want to try spraypaint on other things though :X Like artwurks...I just need to get someone to buy it for me. Darn Massachusetts and their laws :P
